Tobacco use is the largest preventable cause of death and disease in the United States, killing more than 480,000 Americans each year. In addition to the death toll, smoking-related illness costs more than $300 billion per year in medical costs and lost productivity.

It's estimated that 16.8% of US adults are current cigarette smokers, the majority of which smoke every day. We want to take steps to end this unhealthy practice and are looking for creative, exciting, and new ideas that might help prevent new smokers from starting and help current smokers quit.

Deliverables

Propose a campaign to stop new smokers from starting and encourage current smokers to quit.

1. What target audience of smokers will your campaign target?

2. How will it encourage your audience not to smoke?

3. What resources will you need to implement this campaign?

4. Why will this campaign be effective?

Optional: Sketches, drawings, mock-ups, charts, graphs or any other visuals to support your argument

Things to consider:

- Winning submissions will propose a unique, innovative, and original means to encourage more people to stop smoking.
