One of the biggest difficulties large companies face is effective communication. At Evonik Performance Materials GmbH, where there are more than 4,000 employees in over 30 countries, that is especially true. That's where our People Matter team comes in. In 2018, the People Matter team wants to ensure proper communication of human resources topics by developing appropriate formats for dialogue, making employees feel more involved and reducing uncertainty.

After a great deal of research and employee surveys, we've identified the need for a universal dialogue format, applied across the entire segment. This dialogue needs to be:

  • face-to-face (but not one-on-one)
  • low-tech, if it requires technology at all
  • effective in any country where Evonik has operations
  • in the mother tongue of the employee

To learn more about Evonik Performance Materials, its employees and the existing communication tools, see the attached PDF.

Deliverables

We want ideas for a NEW dialogue format that allows for increasing interaction with all employees, voicing their concerns and fostering curiosity for change. In your response, include the following:

  1. What structure will your dialogues use? How will dialogues be scheduled? Who will be able to attend?
  2. What communications inefficiencies does your dialogue format seek to address?
  3. How should language differences be handled?

AVOID: We don't want ideas that replicate the existing tools found in the attached PDF.
