In 2013, the Netflix original series "Orange is the New Black" quickly became one of the most popular and critically-adored television series in recent memory. But before the show was winning awards, it was a book called "Orange is the New Black: MY Time in a Women’s Prison," a 2010 memoir by Piper Kerman that told the story of her time as an inmate in a women’s prison. Many members of the show’s large and devoted fanbase, especially the younger high school to college-aged watchers, are not aware of the original book.
Propose the best way to alert fans of the show to the fact that "Orange is the New Black" is based on a book. Your solutions should do the following:
(1) Focus on the 18-25 year old age demographic.
(2) Think outside the box of traditional banner and social media advertising. Get creative!
(3) Encourage the target audience to get engaged in a conversation about the book.
