with this letter I would like to express my interest in studying at**.After carefully reading the syllabus and the course requirements, I believe that it perfectly matches my research interests and profile. What I strongly appreciate of your Institute is the possibility of choosing two specialization paths, which will help me broaden my knowledge in the field of Solar Photovoltaics and Energy Vectors and Storage. Thus, I could complete my studies on power production, started with Turbomachinery, during my bachelor at **, and continued with Hydropower and Wave Energy, during my first year of the *** master at ***. In fact, one of my areas of interest is the integration of different renewable sources to allow storage and provide predictable and stable delivery to the grid. For instance, one of the topics I would like to develop during my master thesis is the integration of Solar Photovoltaic and Hydropower, such as optimization models for pumped hydropower plants with PV installations floating on the reservoir or on the outside face of the dam.  is the optimal choice for my second year because, as I understand, the courses deeply focus on technical innovation, but at the same time they have a strong business orientation. This would expose me to a highly developed network of corporate partners, giving me access to contacts that will expand my career opportunities and allow for the opportunity to learn from some of the top companies in the world through coursework and writing my thesis. My goal, indeed, is to do an internship in EDF because I think that their facilities and their expertise will help me explore the research fields I am interested in.

When I think of my future career, indeed, I see myself in a position that allows me to pursue my interests and achieve my goals, satisfies my personal ambition and gives me the chance to work in a stimulating environment. It would be a great accomplishment, for example, to enter the job market by working in the research and development centre of a company in the forefront of energy technology and innovation. This would allow me to broaden my knowledge on renewable energy technologies and give me the chance to spot business opportunities for founding my own company.

Besides the academic perspective, I would love to study in Paris because I have always been fascinated by French history, culture and art, and I am looking forward to living in this country and to learning the language, that I also consider a valuable skill to have when entering the job market.
