Sample cover letter for Internship position at 3M

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please find enclosed my Resume in application for a Marketing Internship of 3 months from January to April in 3M Diegem.

I hereby apply for an Internship in the Marketing area, since it represents the possibility to join a company that develops values of major importance to me. The international opening, with diversity and enriching exchanges, is something I learned to value during my international experiences (Living in Germany and South Korea, Language exchanges in the USA, Ireland and the UK). The creativity and innovation, through the development and improvement of products for a sustainable future is one of the most important aspect of the company in my view, since I want to be part of an industrial chemistry world that enhance its image towards the end-consumers and that continues to develop products to facilitate the life of the customers.

I am currently attending the EMLYON Business School MSc in Management after graduating a Master Degree in Formulation chemistry at CPE Lyon Engineering School. This gave me some strong background in different types of chemistry (organic, mineral, chemical engineering), but also some introductory knowledge in different business related areas (Marketing, Finance, Economics, Law, Supply-Chain Management). This will be completed by the B2B Marketing track at EMLYON Business School, to go further into the knowledge in this business area and more precisely in the Marketing/Business Development.

I believe my communication and interpersonal skills will be a great asset to 3M as well as my motivation and my positive attitude.
