I am writing this letter to apply to the PhD program on your University. I am a recent Master graduate in Simulation and Visualization at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). I expect PhD position will help to boost and enhance my research career on ICT.

Decision making in large distributed multiagent systems is difficult problem. For a Sufficiently large number of agents such problem becomes impractical to solve in centralized fashion. These difficulties can be overcome by allowing the agents to cooperate in solving distributed decision problem. For large scale problems, anytime algorithm can be used to solve the problem even it its’ interrupted at any time before it ends. Deep learning and other machine learning techniques can be used to solve complicated problems with less computation time.

I already have gained professional and academic experience in problem solving algorithms. Subjects like Swarm Intelligence, Functional Programming and intelligent algorithms, Topics in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Virtual World helped me to explore the specialized knowledge on different algorithm. Different assignments and individual projects helped to implement theoretical knowledge of such algorithm using different programming languages. During the academic period, I have implemented monte carlo methods for fox and rabbit simulation, Neural Networks for ship motion prediction, particle swarm optimization(PSO) and social behaviour for 3D Virtual World fish farm and search algorithm in Codingame and Hackerank. The tools used are Unity 3D, Matlab, Haskell, JavaScript libraries and WebGL. In addition, I was involved in project related to DC motor. I have chance to implement optimization techniques using PSO, Genetic Algorithm and Neuro Fuzzy to control the speed of motor. Since, my thesis is based on Neural Network, I am highly motivated to work on Deep learning and different machine learning techniques.

The teaching assistant on several courses has provided me with a unique skill set which will be critical for a successful career. My communications skills strengthened as I challenged myself to understand and respond students’ question. I have made different approaches to ensure each and every student understands the problems. This helped me to excel on to work independently, structured lesson plans and cooperation with students.

I am a persistent person with strong orientation on goals. I am topper of recent graduate program. I also have recently published two academic articles in Ocean 2016 and Eurosim 2016 which you may find in the enclosure of my application.

Going through a number of publications from your department by different authors, I find your work in different domain is very motivating for me to pursue as PhD student in your department.

The analytical and communication skills I have acquired throughout my work experience and graduate studies will provide a strong foundation as a PhD student. I am specifically interested in your institution since you have been working many project in problem solving techniques and machine learning. In all position held so far, I have always matched or exceed the expectations of my supervisors and colleagues with my meticulous natures.
