I am writing to apply for the Discover Anders program during the summer. I was so excited to learn of Discover Anders from (people)  at the (school) School of Accountancy Professional meeting.

My passion for understanding numbers and the story behind them rather than just counting them has inspired me to pursue an accounting degree. I am interested in what it is like to work in public accounting, to learn about the workplace, and explore different career paths by meeting accountants and staff. I am interested in both audit and tax, and would like to experience the difference in a CPA firm as I know it is different than the school experience. I want to see how the firm is involved in the community and gain experience that will help me in my education and future career as I will be able to make a more informed decision about my career.

Having read about your company’s financial services extensively, I am convinced that this company provides the services that I would like to be associated with. My basic math, organization, excellent interpersonal, communication, and detail orientation skills all point towards my sustainability for this position.I believe that I am ready for this opportunity as I am a junior completing my degree in BS Accountancy from (school) with a 3.5 GPA.
