I wish to apply for the Assistant Engineer position as advertised. I feel that my skills and experience are an ideal fit for the vacancy, and would like to put myself forward as a potential candidate. I am currently studying towards my degree in BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering at Teesside University, and have already held positions of responsibility within industry. I believe the blend of my academic and vocational achievements make me a credible applicant and I am enthusiastic and driven about the vacancy on offer. I hold health and safety paramount to my working practices as an Engineer Staff supervision / communication – I have extensive experience in supervising a variety of site operatives and pride myself on my ability to adapt my communication in order to enable me to lead effectively Quality assurance – I have held ultimate responsibility on sites for completion of works and have managed budgetary requirements to ensure that adequate profit levels have been met The experience and skills detailed above are outlined further in my Curriculum Vitae, which I have attached for your consideration. I am a keen and enthusiastic affiliate of the engineering industry, and feel that I could bring a mature level of experience to the vacant position. I wish to expand the breadth and depth of my knowledge in the engineering field, and feel that this is the ideal position for my knowledge objectives.
