Following a recent search on Linkedin I wish to be considered for the graduate position in AIB as I believe my education and skillset closely match your program requirements. I have recently graduated Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Economics in NUIG.

A highlight of my life at university was undoubtedly my time spent in NUIG’s student managed fund. Initially as an analyst, my role was limited to compiling reports on companies selected by my sector manager. In my final year of college I took on more responsibilities with the fund, becoming a sector manager for the oil and gas sector with 2 analysts under me. I issued overviews to my fellow members and worked closely with my analyst to ensure they were thoroughly analysing all aspects of the companies which I had selected for them. This hands on experience of working with other sector managers to build a cohesive and profitable portfolio identifying and researching potential profit opportunities for the fund was invaluable to me.

The corporate banking graduate program will provide me with an excellent opportunity to develop my existing skills and knowledge to support AIB’s current investment banking strategy. As a student juggling multiple projects from a wide range of topics, I developed excellent time management skills and the ability problem solve under pressure skills which will be crucial in dealing with the ever-changing demands of your diverse clientele. Having worked abroad last summer and more recently the front desk in of a large ‘hotel’, dealing with guests from all over the globe I have developed strong interpersonal skills .This experience will allow me to effectively communicate and get along with different types of institutional and retail clients as well as my colleagues.
