As a senior double majoring in Psychology and Economics at Smith College, I would like to be considered for the Education Consultant position at AIC Education, Inc. As an international student myself, I have long been interested in college consulting and business development in education management. I am very proud of my experiences and achievement when studying abroad in the United States, and I am passionate about helping more dedicated Chinese students to top-tier U.S. universities and colleges. This passion, combined with my abundant teaching and leadership experiences at Smith and my communication and problem-solving skills makes me a great fit for the role.

Over the past three years, I have worked for a number of teaching roles at Smith College, including Chinese Master Tutor, Psychology Teaching Assistant, and House Community Adviser. Acting as the TA for Introduction to Psychology class, I coached 25 students to improve their performances in the class. I held review sessions and office hours regularly, enhancing students’ understanding of class materials and achieving better results during the exams. I organized discussion sections after each lecture, encouraging students to think critically with supplementing materials. I also learned how to be patient and how to communicate effectively with students at different level of understanding of lecture materials. Also, I am working as House Community Adviser, a house leadership supervising more than 80 students in a residential building. I am in charge of community building, conflict mediation, and policy reinforcement. In the process, I act as a role model and a consultant to help peer students solve their problems in all the aspects on campus. Those experiences not only confirm my passion in education, but also prepare me with strong verbal and written communication skill.
