Sample cover letter for Internship position at AP Professionals

POSITION:

Dear Hiring Manager for the Junior Accountant position,

The purpose of this letter is to express my interest in the Junior Accountant position as promoted by the AP Professional website. I am a graduate accounting student pursuing a career as an auditor with aspirations of completing the CPA exam in the near future. I am an entrepreneurial spirit with a focused drive to become the best in the accounting industry and feel I would be a perfect fit for the AP Professional team.

As indicated by my resume, I graduated SUNY Oswego with a degree in accounting and am further pursuing my passion by attending graduate school there as well. During my undergrad I had the opportunity to act as the accountant on numerous class projects which involved creating and analyzing multiple financial statements, forecasting future revenues, and developing and managing a working budget, amongst many other tasks. I have been successful in these projects by being extremely organized and possessing in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office with a concentration in excel and access. My experience playing on the Oswego golf team has allowed me to develop exceptional time management and team building skills which I have further built upon in my past job experiences.

I would like the opportunity to further my career and share my skill sets with AP Professionals. Accounting is my passion and I yearn for real world experience. My attention to detail and commitment to better myself and the organization I am with lead me to believe I would become a valuable asset for the AP Professional team. I have attached a copy of my resume to further express my qualities and skills. I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to meeting with you soon.
