Finance Intern
Dear Hiring Professionals,
My name is , a junior at DePaul University studying accountancy and finance. I am interested in your finance internship, which I learned about from at DePaul’s Meet the Firms. I am interested in this position because I believe that it would provide me with valuable knowledge of finance and accounting only available outside of the classroom. I am also impressed by Abbott’s passion of helping others achieve their best health. I have seen first-hand how beneficial Abbott products are and would love to be part of such a great company.
As a junior double majoring in accountancy and finance, I have proved strong academic performance and dedication in all of my accounting and finance courses, maintaining a 4.0 accounting GPA and 3.78 finance GPA. The courses I have completed have given me a strong foundation in financial reporting, financial analysis, and managerial accounting. I have also gained knowledge in the areas of corporate finance, audit, individual taxation, and investment theory.
In addition to my analytical abilities, I also offer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I am also familiar with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
During my freshman year of college, I had the privilege of working at Jamba Juice as a team member. In this position, I gained valuable multi-tasking skills and was successful in performing many tasks at a time. I also thrived in the team-oriented atmosphere. I was also able to work as a cashier at Dominick’s in high school. This position helped me develop strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. While I enjoyed these jobs, I am eager to gain experience in finance and accounting.
