Dear hiring manager,

I am interested in the software engineering internship for Summer 2017 which I found on Linkedin jobs section. AirBnb is committed to enhance its customers' travel experience through its’ creative solutions and this is why I am so excited to be a part of it. I love coming up with creative solutions to challenging problems.

With knowledge in programming languages such as C, Java, Python and Javascript and tools like github, I believe that I will be a great asset to your company. I enjoy working on projects that require me to learn beyond my comfort level, such as learning new languages and frameworks. During my software development practices class, I worked in a group of four to develop an Android game whichwill allow players to control a big shape and use their fingers to navigate it across the screen to catch little shapes that are the same shape as the big shape. While working on this project, I independently learned NodeJS, MongoDB, Angular JS to successfully create the Web portal which allows players to play against one another and display the scores of the top players. Outside of class, I have continued to enhance my skills by dabbling in frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and participating in Hackathons.

I would bring to any position first-rate communication skills – oral as well as written – a pleasant personality and a commitment to learning quickly and applying the knowledge effectively. I’ve attached a copy of my resume that details my projects and experience in software development. I can be reached anytime via my cell phone, 515-708-3418 or via email at [email protected].

Thanks,

Fahmida Joyti
