Dear Hiring Manager:
I am writing with regard to the job posting for the position of ‘Data Analyst’.
Being a graduate student specializing in Data Analytics, I have a solid understanding of predictive modeling, decision & optimization modeling and data management. I have worked on few projects related to predictive modeling. One of the project was in the cab services domain and the goal was to predict the last minute booking cancellation by the company due to cab unavailability. The scope involved data cleansing and applying different Machine Language techniques to the data set and come up with a model that best fits the data. The analysis was done using SAS – Enterprise Miner. I am also well versed with R and familiar with Google Analytics. Additionally I am proficient in SQL and have a solid understanding of ETL.
I also portray strong logical reasoning and attention to detail. I am a quick learner and I believe I can be an asset to the company.
