One of my earliest memory was when I was sitting in an under construction building unaware of my parents searching, just to understand how the workers build our homes. Ever since my childhood, I possessed a burgeoning curiosity to explore and seize new opportunities. Excelling academically with an equal focus on personality development proved to be the building blocks for my subsequent years in college.

My internships at ABC & RST followed by my employment at XYZ gave me valuable insights into aspects of business planning, quality assurance and project execution. Working with different managers & vendors demanded for fast decision making with focus on delivering my 100%. This made me accountable and also inculcated a sense of ownership.

As I was posted in remote areas I encountered the reality of rural India which was a major driving force for to join a local NGO  Working as its Joint Secretary, I spearheaded the publicity and awareness campaigns. This resulted in the foundation of 3 new centers along with a formation of a social enterprise named apansaamaan.com. This enterprise serves as a platform for selling rural products to urban centers.

Along with all this I pursued photography as a hobby and received appreciation from more than 400 followers through a social networking page. An intense discussion with two of my fellow mates over a coffee sparked the creation of a promotional services venture called PQR. This venture was aimed at providing wedding cover shoots, promotional videos to institutes & corporates. It helped me gain basic understanding of how creativity can relate to business & customer management.

At IIM  I plan to coalesce my diverse experiences, values, and learnings with the business skills and marketing acumen. Through the IIM culture, I have honed the skills of openness and dynamism which reinforces me to take up the challenges of business world. My aim is to gain an exposure to the cross-functional areas of business development with an expertise in marketing. Amazon with its principle of thinking big & a customer centric approach makes online shopping a different experience in all. With a prior knowledge of working on a micro level online venture, at Amazon I wish to get a broader perspective of the e-commerce industry.I believe with my skill set I will be able to successfully contribute towards Amazon’s continuously innovating business and its mission of being Earth’s most customer centric company.
