Dear American Express Recruitment Team,

I am very excited about applying for the Finance Summer Internship Program with American Express that was advertised on the website. I was recommended that I apply for the internship since the qualifications directly match my educational experience, interest, and skills. By the summer I will be able to offer two years of academic excellence in Corporate Finance, Financial Market Institution and Accounting modules, and for my first year average result I had gotten a high 2:1, now I'm working very hard towards a First for my second year result.

 In addition, I have work experiences in other sectors - For example, I was a full-time waiting staff over the summer after first year of university. As mentioned earlier on, this role has improved my ability to work well under (time) pressure and in a hectic environment.

 This is why I am especially excited about the summer program that American Express offers students and I feel that this opportunity would provide me with additional knowledge and skills that will add to my abilities to positively serve clients in the field.
