Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Apple Tree

I am applying for the position of English Early Years Teacher with Apple Tree Pre-Kindergarten. I have a variety of experience working with young children as well as, as an English teacher. Qualified as an ESL teacher, I have worked with children from ages 14 months – 15 years.

Currently I am working with three children aged 4-5, looking after them on a regular basis, as well as teaching private English lessons to young children. While I was living in xxxxx, I worked with a young boy of xxx months, and taught him using the Montessori method. I worked with him several hours a day, every day of the week, and we made quick progression. In the summer of xxx, I looked after a young boy of x years on a daily basis during the summer, and was solely responsible for his care from 9 am – 5 pm every day. In both cases, I was asked to continue working with the children after my contract had expired.

I have taught English to children aged 6 – 15 years old from around the world, two summers in a row at xxxxx English language school based in the UK. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with and teaching young children and am passionate about working with early learners. I am confident that I will exceed your expectations, and work hard and diligently to ensure young learners attending Apple Tree are provided with the highest quality of care and teaching.

I am a Swiss citizen with the right to work and remain indefinitely in Switzerland. I speak mother tongue English as well as conversational German. I have attached my cover letter as well as a reference from one of my previous employer’s.
