I met Mr. ABC at 2015 fall career fair held in Texas A & M.I had an interesting conversation about how can data analysis be done on a single enterprise machine in a secure manner. I studied advance data management in fall semester and I am currently studied data warehousing. I have also started assisting a research professor for building a date warehouse for bio informatics. I am pleased to apply 2016 Database Analyst Summer Intern at Applied Predictive Technologies.
While studying advance data management, I got introduced to the world of Hadoop and Map Reduce framework. I implemented the learnings from the course in a project for filtering resumes using MongoDB. It was a great experience while implementing the Map Reduce methodology, learned in Hadoop, using MongoDB. I have also completed online courses in data mining, process mining and introduction to big data using Apache Spark. I am currently pursuing big data specialization offered by UC San Diego on Coursera. My goal is to contribute my passion, drive, and experience in the field of information systems by contributing with my data engineering skills
As you will see from the resume, I have built my career in information systems field while I was working with the biggest information technology giant in India, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), for three years. My IT experience gives me a unique ability to apply technology, in all its forms, to software development.
I was a Business Process Management (BPM) Programmer Analyst at the TCS Enterprise Solutions Centre of Excellence. Central projects included deploying open source BPM solutions to customers, coaching the presales team to apply and leverage product evaluation, and imparting open source BPM knowledge through trainings sessions and exploring upcoming features in open source BPM technologies.
I had worked on forensics for a project in the Banking Domain. The purpose of project implementation was to arrive at a conclusion during the credit card charge-back process and detect fraudulent requests by detecting deviations in audit trail. We conducted technical analysis of various open source products for making a Questionnaire Decision Tree using business rules. We worked on a wrapper on top of an open source business rules library (Drools Expert) for guided decision making using a Business Rules Engine (BRE). I compiled my work and learning from this project and presented a paper at TCS on Guided Decision Making Framework.
After TCS, I joined Accenture as a senior analyst in the innovation center of open source. During, my short stint. I had worked for a retail client which was going through a global online expansion. And I was taking care of service oriented architecture (SOA) implementation for transforming and transferring big files seamlessly to third party systems.
Beyond the academics, I am very active in extracurricular space. I have volunteered many times with Aggie Rotaract Club. I went to Florida with Rotary club for volunteering with organizations like Salvation Army (meal Prep & Service for transitional shelters) and Advocates for World Health (organizing medical supplies). I also represent Information and Operations department as a liaison at Graduate Student Professional Council (GPSC) at Texas A & M University.
