Sample cover letter for Internship position at Arcadia Group
accounting admin assistant
GOT THE JOB? Yes
Dear Nikki Eastwood
I am a first year undergraduate student studying Business and Management at Leeds Trinity University.
During my course, I am required to do a 5 week professional placement in order to improve my employability and contribute to my professional development. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider me for a placement in your accounting and finance department from the 31st of May 2016 to the 1st of July 2016.
I am applying for the business/finance placement at Arcadia group as I have a keen interest in the financial side of organisations and I believe your company can help me to develop my current knowledge. In the future, I plan on owning my own business and I feel your company could add to my current experience to improve my professional development.
I am interested in this organisation because Arcadia Group owns a number of successful brands which I wear like Topman and Burton and also owns a lot of fashionable brands which I always see on important and busy highstreets like Evans, topshop, Dorothy perkins, wallis and miss selfridge. I feel I would be the perfect candidate for this placement as I have gained superb customer service through my employment history and I know I could represent this company well.
I think that I am the ideal candidate for this placement as I am the type of person who likes a challenge. I am extremely independent and can be left to finish tasks without any problem. But, at the same time, I am good at communicating with colleagues in the workplace. I scored 68/100 on my management and financial accounting module in semester 1 at Leeds Trinity University and I feel I have the knowledge to complete any task that you give me to a high quality.
I truly feel like I could be a key attribute to this organisation during the time of the placement and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely
Joshua Evans
