Hereby, I want to apply for an internship at your company in Mid Cap LBO. Currently, I am

studying in the second year of the Bachelor of Economics and Finance at Bocconi University.

I would develop a career in Private Equity because I am fascinated by identifying and evaluating

investment opportunities for acquisitions. My internship with a PE firm has helped me to fuel this

enthusiasm and has given me the necessary knowledge and understanding of the Italian market. I

believe that this division is suitable for me because I prefer teamwork and I am intrigued by

fundamentals of companies and by growth opportunities.

I believe that Ardian is the right place for an internship for me, because I share your vision of

creating positive economic impact and long-term value for both investors and companies. I am

mostly impressed by your leading Mid Cap position in Europe and by the $50 bln of Asset managed

by Ardian. The strong international network and presence, the acquisition of Bank of America PE

portfolio, the expansion into Asia and the expertise of its professionals are clear signals of the

ambition of Ardian. For all these reasons I truly believe that this will be the greatest opportunity for

a young student to gain access to the EU Mid Cap market and to grow personally and

professionally.

During my past internship experiences as well as during my studies at university, I have developed

a considerable skill set. As an analyst intern in an Italian firm I learned how to analyse data and to

gain new responsibilities by matching and exceeding expectations. My commitment and attention to

detail is proven by my academics. In the Business talents competition I developed strong

interpersonal skills such as teamwork and leadership. The Bocconi Students M&A Circle gives me

the opportunity to write reports about relevant M&A deals and to develop a deeper understanding of

transaction drivers. I am currently working on a group project which consists in valuating a

company. This allowed me to explore several valuation methods such as DCF, RIM and multiples.
