Sample cover letter for Internship position at Atlanta Tutors

POSITION:

Tutor

Atlanta Tutors,

165 West Wieuca Rd. NE

Suite #113

Atlanta, GA 30342

Dear Dr. Vigil:

I was thrilled when I found this opportunity on your website. As a student with good academic standing and experience with tutoring, I am interested in being a part time tutor with your company.

I am good at Math and science, and willing to help others. In high school I was appointed by teacher as Pre-calculus and Algebra tutor. I have experience in tutoring both English speakers and non-English speakers. As a bilingual I am able to deliver clearer explanations to international students than others. I scored a perfect 36 in Math section in the ACT and a composite score of 32. I am also confident that I can tutor high school Physics and Chemistry. You have stated that you have great needs for test prep tutors, and I am confident that I can fill that role. I am able to tutor SAT Math, SAT II Math, SAT II Physics, ACT Math section and ACT Science section.

I do own a car and I am currently living on campus, so I am willing to work within 20 miles of Emory. I will be available to work every weekend; Mon/Wed 1pm-3pm, after 6pm; Tue/Thurs./Friday 10am-1pm, after 5pm.

Please send me an email or give a call to see if we could set up a time to discuss my becoming a part of your company.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,
