My current studies have equipped me with a solid understanding of data-source application and statistical techniques. And throughvarious case studies, I have developed good problem solving skill based on the data analysis and modeling. Last year I worked with three other teammates to analyze a case regarding prediction of purchase decision for a supermarket.We appliedthe logit model to analyze relevant marketing variables that affect the price promotion and the interrelation between the purchase decision of different appointed products. Andour analysis eventuallyenlightens how our client could implement a more effective way to set the price and to target commercial activities. This studyenriched my knowledge about theprocess of marketing research and data analysis, andfurthermore, it simulated my interest in the marketing intelligence area of the integrated enterprise to support marketing decisions for profit growth.I have decided to pursue my master’s degree with the minor in Business Analytics and Quantitative Marketing in the next academic year. Before that, it would be ideal for me to work in acompany whose business ranges from design to sales and to further learn how thebig data influences the business development initsspecific industry, which would be combined into my academic research in the master’s phase. In addition to my education experience and academic skills, I enjoy working with different people in a team towards a common goal and lead the key role in my various extracurricular activities. During my two-month traineeship in a Brazilian local NGO, I led my team to help the NGO establish the social media and extend its influence, which greatly assisted the NGO in gaining financial support from local companies. In addition, my previous work experience in a logistics company also equipped me with the ability to well understand clients’ requirements and anticipate their future needs. Although I haven’t been in the automotive industry, I would like to use the intern opportunity to explore this industry.
