Re: Application to be part of the Avanade Case Study Challenge

I write as referenced above, applying with great enthusiasm to be on either of the teams to deliver on the Avanade case study challenge, with a preference for Topic 2, on the regulatory compliance’s value proposition.

As a young and motivated law and finance student and future professional, I am in the process of figuring out where I can add the most value. It is part of the reason why I chose to specialize in Finance; it has been a journey which started with Information technology, then Accounting, followed by Law and now Duisenberg School of Finance, where I am doing my masters in Law and Finance.

In my short time here, I have found that understanding finance can help me help clients more, that it’s about seeing the fundamentals beyond representations and warranties. By this specialization, I have gone on a steep learning curve which has been highly stimulating, and has allowed me to work and think independently and critically.

And I am motivated to join the team of 8 not only because I can definitely see the benefits of this experience to me, of which there is a plethora, but I am also excited because of my potential. This is because my experience however short, has centered around the support services. It is something I identify with closely, because I understand that it is what makes or breaks a venture.

As Vice president for my University’s local chapter of AIESEC, I served in what could be termed the geek department, Information Management. I applied for it because I was excited about what I could deliver, in streamlining the processes that we used to engage other students and more importantly our clients, the members. And I know I made a difference.

This case study I must admit is for me something new. It brings to somewhat of a full circle my educational journey, taking me back to technology: Identifying

opportunities through leveraging new technologies to solve problems. I hope to apply myself and undertake this consultancy project with the expectation of identifying and maximizing these value propositions.

In closing, I admit that I am also enthusiastic about the Avanade itself. The testimonials online speak a lot about the supportive and diverse work environment with essential continuous learning opportunities that are crucial in maintaining a competitive edge. I would very much like to meet with you, explain my interest further and emphasize the value that I can bring to the case study underscored by a creative, entrepreneurial and open perspective.
