I have learned from the Accenture website that you offer summer internship opportunity as a Consulting Intern this year. After going through the job details, I realized that your company can provide rich resources in helping me learn to deal with numerous problems and challenges, provide platform on which I can work closely with clients and colleagues to gain the most impressive learning outcome and ideally, expose me to experiences in perspective of consulting. To be honest, I have applied to urban planning graduate schools in US and planned to throw myself into consulting company with my multi-disciplinary knowledge after it. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to intern atAccenture and fulfil the precious summer prior to my graduate study. And I am really honoured and aspired to develop and strengthen my capabilities in various aspects in a leading company. All of these has reinforced my passion for this internship program.

During my two-month internship at Shanghai Construction Group, I conducted literacy research on the Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Project and gained first-hand experience on transportation planning by taking multidisciplinary knowledge into consideration and making use of quantitative analysis. I was also involved in a subway construction project to help my team establish building information models and analyse the plus and drawbacks of the siting of the station, where I learned how to conduct case study with respect to specific project setting and lead to critical planning decision with a holistic view. Besides, I have also worked as a research assistant in my university, individually conducting experiment data analysis and reviewing a lot of relevant academic papers.

In addition to my internship experiences, I am a Geographic Information Science major from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. My college curriculum has readied me for spatial analysis by integrating all kinds of information with the use of statistics, programming and software. I am pretty immersed in the way GIS integrated various knowledge and hence develop my interest in consulting industry and pursuing further study of the multidisciplinary subject - Urban Planning, in US. Apart from studies, I have travelled to over 10 countries as a university student ambassador in international student conferences, as a volunteer leading teams to provide development solutions for underprivileged districts and as an entrepreneur touring around outstanding start-ups in Israel due to winning the grand award in the Micro Fund Entrepreneurial and Innovative Competitions. All of these experiences not only prepared me to be a global citizen capable of dealing with complex problems involving diverse cultures but also sharpened my communication and leadership skills. As evidenced by my excellent educational performance, I believe you will find my contribution to your company valuable.

I take pride in my innate leadership potential. During my college life, I was an officer of Toastmasters International Club in my university for two consecutive years. I recruited club members passionate about public speaking and networking and held meetings and speech competitions and motivated them to go beyond their comfort zone and work towards the common goal. This experience significantly enhanced my soft skills in various aspects.
