Sample cover letter for Full Time position at BDO

Dear Recruiter,

I am writing to apply to join the BDO Singapore Audit Team. I’m interested in BDO because it is a fast-growing firm with a global network, which is recognized by IAB as the Network of the Year 2015. On the personal level, my encounters with BDO staff were very pleasant.

I had the pleasure to attend an accounting seminar in which BDO partner Ms. Jocelyn Goh shared her stories. I was impressed by her career journey and industry insights. Moreover, I talked to a few BDO staff at the CPA Career Fair and I did feel that despite BDO’s high ambition to expand in the coming years, the work environment is very friendly.

I find auditing not only interesting but also challenging. Auditors will never know what kind of people they would meet and what stories would be told. At the same time, auditors need to gain trust from their clients and become their business partners while being independent and maintaining professional skepticism. I would like to take the challenge to be an auditor and I plan to sit for ACCA papers from this September.

I enjoy interacting with people. I joined several student clubs and activities which help me develop my communication skills.
