Sample cover letter for Internship position at BLG

To whom it may concern,

Hallo! Wie geht es Ihnen? 

BLG is a company that has lots of connections with Jacobs University here in Bremen. I know BLG because some of the PHD students are working in BLG and they tell us they really gain a lot from working there as well.

I really look forward to having an internship with BLG in the upcoming summer about two or three months that is related to my International Logistic Management and Engineering major. I have been learning German for a semester in America already and I am still learning it. Even though my German is bad now but I am really willing to improve it by taking more courses next semester and also during the break. I know language skill is super important for Logistics industry and hopefully I can reach B1 level next summer so I can communicate with people in German for a bit.

I know BLG is a great company that has really high standard. But I would really give it try! Working for the logistic industry is one of the main reason I came all the way form USA to Germany as well. I think my educational background in China, America and Germany will really help me to get along and thrive well with the international atmosphere with the people in BLG since BLG is such a diversified company. I am good at math and engineering like a Chinese but also I love to talk to new people and make friends with them like an American.
