Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to apply for the Spring Insight Programme at Bloomberg. I am currently studying in the 2^nd year of a 4-year degree in Biochemical Engineering at UCL. I am very interested in the opportunity that I have applied for and I feel that working with Bloomberg as it is a very diverse and unique company would enhance my career opportunities greatly.

Bloomberg is a company which delivers up to date financial news which affects large organisations on a daily basis. If it wasn’t for Bloomberg these organisations would not be able to make some of the decisions they do. To allow this to occur Bloomberg has to stay up to date with advances in technology and other products, and this is what drew me to Bloomberg. I am a very creative thinker and I believe that innovation drives the world forward. Without it, the world wouldn’t evolve like it has done. I want to be able to make a difference and be a part of innovation.

I believe I am a strong candidate for this role as I give my best in everything I do no matter how big or small the task. I enjoy volunteering and an example of this was when I volunteered at a local youth centre to help young kids with homework and other activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I was also part of a Charity Week team that raised over £72000 for UCL in 2014. Overall I believe that these attributes make me a strong candidate for this role.
