Sample cover letter for Internship position at BNP Paribas

During my studies, I had the opportunity to complete different internships in finance. One valuable experience is my last internship as Corporate actions intern at NYSE Euronext. There, I was working with the team in charge of Euronext equity and bond markets. At the crossroads between purely financial and corporate strategic concerns, financial operations such as IPOs, public purchase offers or capital increases immediately drew my attention and deepened my motivation and enthusiasm to engage in a career in M&A or ECM. In NYSE Euronext, I acquired techniques about capital raising issues, convertible bonds issuances and IPO processes. I performed all tasks within the department which eased the work of the team by bringing new innovative solutions. This experience also brought the certainty that I am able to work long hours and under pressure, it also strengthened my motivation to pursue a career in Investment Banking. Throughout my experience of exchange in The University of Edinburgh, I acquired the capacity to adapt in a multi-cultural environment. In addition, my experience as Treasurer in Sciences Po Rennes Junior Conseil helped develop my leadership and teamwork abilities.
