I was recently introduced to this role via the BSI Financial Services Careers page and was impressed with what I learned of the company culture, particularly the emphasis on career development and inclusion of diverse backgrounds. This position would not only expose me to the operational dynamics and interplay between the various functions within BSI Financial Services but would also lay the foundations for a prosperous career in banking.

I graduated from --- with a BA in Economics and a concentration in Finance. During that time I completed an internship at Merrill Lynch, where I helped increase sales by persistent cold calling and assembled portfolio review materials for client meetings, evaluating client portfolio and fund manager performance using Bloomberg, Thomson Banker, and other external resources.

At ---, I continued to look for challenging opportunities to demonstrate independence, proficiency, and maturity in my field. I prepared and presented a senior thesis critiquing the performance of credit rating agencies during the financial crisis and offering the incorporation of credit default swap spreads as a retrospective solution. I used econometrics to extract simple relationships from large datasets and presenting these findings taught me to speak with confidence in front of an audience.
