Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Bain Capability Center
Business Analyst
Dear Ma’am/Sir,
I am a final year student of ----------------- in being interviewed
for a full time Analyst position at ---------------, through the campus recruitment procedure.
My desire to apply for not just a job but a career at ----- stems from my belief that the skill set possessed by
me is the right fit for the portfolio or the Company offering it.
I have grown up trying my hand at an array of
interests and have excelled in most. The entire process which has been a learning experience is something
that I take pride in. My education, which has been a specialization in the field of commerce and business,
has been the guiding force behind my ability to reason in a logical manner and think from an analytical
perspective. The extra-curricular activities I have been a part of, which are a fair share of my broader
definition of education have helped me to develop the kind of competence which cannot be tapped into from
within the four walls of a classroom. The reason my experiences set me apart is because I have a refined
understanding of how to get things done after having gained through striking a balance between academics
and co-scholastic endeavors.
Over the last two years, I have held numerous positions of responsibilities in a diverse range of college societies
and managed events on a relatively large scale. Besides having been an active part of the debating society of
college, I have also successfully worked with groups of people as part of different teams, and in a majority
of instances managed and led from the front—thereby ensuring a stronghold of communication and
leadership.
Consulting appeals to me at two
levels; one reason is that it makes an individual thrive in an environment of team work, because you learn
from a plethora of knowledgeable people both inside and outside of an organization. Also, in the
organization there exists a structured environment of unstructured thinking. The second reason, which only
furthers my cause in favor of wanting to start my career path as an Analyst is that of working on complex
strategies which in addition create a global impact. My internship, which involved working in a consulting
firm on a project deliverable, improved my ability of undertaking research work and drawing inferences
thereon apart from proving to be a forum to acquire other new skills. It also provided me the chance to
substantially exploit my capabilities and work on creating an impactful favorable change. This leads me to
believe that my existing skill set and my interest in the consulting industry will increase manifold if given a
chance to be a part of an organization like ----.
The focus on delivering results which are implemented by clients across industries and the flexible growth
opportunity that ----- has to offer are two important criteria for my inclination towards it. The prospect of an
opportunity to learn immensely while working for the top management consulting company is also
appealing. I conform to the notion that I am a strong candidate because of the aforementioned reasons. I
have attached my resume as part of the application.
Thank you for your consideration
Regards,
