Empathy and creative thinking are my core skills. I am XXX, a recent Economics and Business Administration graduate from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Currently, I attend the ESCP Europe Business School’s Master Degree in Management (Turin – Madrid – Paris track) and cultivate my passion for management consulting. Roberto Prioreschi’s speech (Director at Bain & Company Italy) during “Start-up e Digitale: un gioco da ragazzi?” at Expo Milano has further inspired me to apply for this course.

In summer 2015, I had the opportunity to work for a start-up operating in the healthcare industry. My involvement in product testing and MVP development has increased my awareness of the impact of lean methodologies on small firms with limited financial resources.

During the “Problem solving and Decision Making” course held by ESCP Europe, I had the opportunity to put my creativity, proactive approach and problem solving attitude into practice. I am also a member of the JET (Junior Enterprise Torino) as a consulting project manager, where I lead a group of four people and coordinate the work for numerous ongoing activities. We offer consulting services to Italian SMEs and are currently structuring and implementing a highly targeted marketing campaign for a high-tech firm to increase customer engagement and conversions. I am also an Associate Consultant at Build It Up, a non-profit organization aiming to promote entrepreneurial spirit among new generations, by offering consultancy to promising business ideas. We are now working on the development of a 2-year forecasted income statement and on the planning of the marketing campaign for an Italian start-up operating in the advertising industry.

My closeness to Bain’s values has brought me to apply for this course. The focus on results and the importance of applying the best approach to each situation would give me the opportunity to demonstrate my lateral thinking abilities and drive. The internationality of the Master I am currently attending (3 countries in 3 years) has enhanced my ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and I strongly believe that it will be a valuable asset to your firm. I am confident that this opportunity will provide me with unparalleled experience in business consulting and an insight into working at Bain in anticipation of my application for next summer’s internship.
