I am currently a 2^nd year economics student at the *****. I recently discovered the internship opportunity at Bain & Company through ******. As a leading consulting firm I admire Bain’s ability to provide clients with well-rounded solutions to varying business problems and to cater clients’ needs within all areas of management consulting. It is also Bain’s wide range of expertise within several industries and customer focused approach that further attracts me to pursue an internship at Bain.

Since I was little I have loved problem- solving games and riddles. The reason I chose to major in economics is because of the analytical approach it offers to everyday situations and that when analysing a problem you must take several external factors into condsideration, such as the economy and the industry. Although other industries such as investment banking offer similar challenges, after talking to people working inside management consulting and reading case solving books I am confident that the problem solving oriented industry is where I can excel.

I now seek experience that supports my studies and that provides an opportunity to expand my knowledge beyond what I have learned in the academic field. This is why I believe Bain would be the perfect place to start my career at. As I have a great motivation to learn from the best in the field and with a strong forward-driven mind-set I think I would make an excellent addition to Bain’s ambitious team. During my last summer trainee position in ******* I gained a lot of insight about accounting and operations in large companies and I also improved my attention to detail a lot as I was the last person to check up on how costs were booked. I find management consulting to be particularly intriguing because of its project based nature and I am interested in the analysis of companies and the involved valuations. Working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent service to clients as well as exceeding their expectations is something that really drives me.

Given my hard- working attitude and academic background, combined with my team player mind-set and my desire to learn, I am sure that I would make an excellent fit at Bain & Company.
