Sample cover letter for Internship position at Bain

I am writing about the Associate Consultant position I learned about through Bain’s (Mexico City Office) visit to Tecnológico de Monterrey on March 4^th, 2010, during the first term of my Master program. My project experiences have stoked by passion for working in strategy consulting. More than McKinsey, BCG, or Booz, Bain made a big impression on me with their genuine passion for results and impressive culture. (I’m also a huge soccer fan!) I believe I have developed the competencies required to flourish as an AC, as I’ve sharpened my value addition, client/communication, and team skills through a variety of interactive projects. In project settings, people frequently praise me for my analytical skills and focus on delivering quantifiable results. Within the classroom, these skills have earned the Highest GPA in my class. On one team, I provided Business Acceleration Coaching for a food micro-enterprise in Monterrey that resulted in 20% in cost reduction, 15% in sales increase and 2 new permanent jobs created. I’ve also undertaken three distinct projects within Students in Free Enterprise that each generated an ROI of over 300%.
