Sample cover letter for Internship position at Belgrave Capital Management

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest for the employment opportunity in Belgrave Capital Management.

I am currently studying second year for the BSc in Management at the University of Bath.

This degree involves a twelve-month placement during the third year starting this

summer 2016. I am attracted to a placement in Belgrave since it has always been my

plan to work in the financial services sector. I had the opportunity to do an internship

last summer as a project assistant for an investment bank in Madrid called Altium Capital

specialised in corporate mergers and acquisitions, which familiarised me with operating

in a professional environment as well as giving me an insight of the financial sector.

I would like to try different alternatives in the financial sector, touching different fields

and asset management is one of them as this line of work would widen my vision of that

sector. I believe a position at Belgrave Capital Management would offer me this

opportunity.

Whilst reading modules such as Finance for International Managers, Enterprise

Information Systems, Accounting and Business Analytics, I have further developed the

skills needed for working in the financial sector. Through both leisure and work

experience I have learnt to prioritise and work to strict deadlines when dealing with

multiple projects. Furthermore, the degree course has improved my organisational skills

and attention to detail, which will be essential when working in a busy environment. My

level of social confidence developed through my international experiences is deemed

an asset when leading university presentations and when listening and interacting with

people from different walks of life. I am a very well organised individual who has

balanced good academic results with a range of extracurricular activities and I am

certain that I will be able to manage any tasks given in a professional, accurate and

timely manner.

I believe that working at Belgrave Capital Management would be the first step towards

a prosperous career and I would love to have the opportunity to discuss what I can bring

in for Belgrave in more depth. I look forward to hearing from you.
