This is with reference to the advertised position for summer Analyst position for investment role specifically Multi-Asset Strategy in your esteemed organization.
I am a second year student studying Economic at University of Nottingham and have just recently completed my first semester of second year as an exchange student at Monash University. I am looking to start my career at an organization that offers tremendous growth and learning opportunity what has fascinated me is that upon research I found BlackRock has been amongst the best employer as with respect to different criterion. I have also been captivated by the fact that during financial crisis BlackRock was fast to react and well diversified to the systematic risk posed to the financial system by mortgage based securities which has motivated me to become part of this bright and dynamic team
Having lived in Pakistan, UK and Australia I believe that I have acquired global perspective which can allow me to analyze critically different perspective, which will be key to formulate and come up with different strategise related to different assets class. Moreover, this skill will also allow me to effectively communicate and get along with different types of institutional and retail clients as well as my colleagues. By taking higher stream quantitative module in my first year as well as on going academic year I have also worked on my problem solving skills and this will be critical in developing strategies across assets and with different client requirements.
My passion for financial instrument and market first developed when I took finance related modules like Options, futures and other derivative in my exchange programme. Where I was able to appreciate because of my background in Economics how global macro-environment affect pricing and value of different securities and derivatives. To hedge against this I learnt we require different type of risk management tools, I find this interconnectedness quite intellectually stimulating. To practically learn about this I am currently doing an Internship at Amplify trading as an Intra-day trader, where I am learning how interdependent assets and markets are like for example just the expectation of Fed raising interest rate has generated volatility upon nearly every asset market I am trading.
