as a penultimate year Mathematics student at King’s College London, I am seeking a position in the summer internship program that will develop my finance and interpersonal skills. I believe my current financial, mathematical and analytical aptitude as well as my experience makes me a top candidate for the role.

Through interning at the FCA, which I understand your firm works very close with, I am familiar with the dedication and hard work required to advance not only as an individual but as a team in order for the firm to prosper. Having achieved a 1^st class in my first year I feel that my mathematical background has developed my ability to take a systematic approach as well as coming up with innovative ways to solve problems. During my time at my internship, I utilized my mathematical knowledge such as analysing trends in charts and report back to my supervisor with my findings.

I am impressed by your track record of working with clients such as the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Google and Merrill lynch. I find significant responsibilities given to an intern exhilarating, and I look forward to learning corporate valuation, accounting and modelling from some of the industry’s top professionals and contributing to your firm.

This intern position would be a great learning curve for me as well as a career enhancing experience. Despite having much to learn, I am determined to do the best I can and perform my duties to the best of my ability.
