I am a second-year student pursuing a BSc in XX at XX. I’m writing to apply for a Consulting Internship position in XX, as my study programme includes a six-month internship. Prior to my studies, I spent two and half years working at a digital marketing agency in XX.

Working for a top tier management consulting firm has been a dream of mine for many years. Boston Consulting Group has been on top of the list, given your firm’s impeccable reputation and status as the thought leader of the industry. I can think of few other companies that have been able to consistently achieve high growth rates, while simultaneously maintaining its culture and values, as proven by the fact that BCG routinely ranks as one of the best places to work.

For my internship I’m looking for an environment where I can gain hands-on experience, be exposed to new perspectives and ideas, and simply learn as much as possible. It’s hard to imagine a better company for that than BCG, considering your firm’s focus on delivering real value, and willingness to push the boundaries and seek out new solutions.

With my skills and background, I believe I would be an excellent fit for your firm. Having worked in marketing, I am well-versed in creative problem-solving. Many of my assignments indeed required coming up with new and creative solutions. Working at an agency also taught me how to how to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

I believe I have developed the interpersonal skills necessary for this position. I spent roughly two years in a client-facing role, where I learned to listen and present facts in a compelling way. Through my studies in a highly international setting, I have further improved my team working skills and gained intercultural competence.
