Sample cover letter for Internship position at BrandCap

POSITION:

Business Analyst

Mentored by an experienced consultant and project manager, I learned that a career in consulting is very exciting and satisfying as I will be involved in various interesting projects. Therefore, I will have the opportunities to pursue my two passions, business development and strategies.

Last summer, I decided to join the business analyst summer internship program to gain more insights into the consulting industry.

Through my daily interactions with business analysts and consultants, I enhanced my analytical and problem-solving skills by studying and analyzing various markets, industries and businesses. Based on my extensive research, I constructed detailed SWOT analysis for clients’ companies, evaluated their competitiveness and identified cost-saving opportunities. As a result, I successfully delivered an end-to-end service which helped a corporate client identify and eliminate ineffective advertisement methods for his business and saved 15% of its marketing cost. I also helped the aforementioned client assess and evaluate potential target companies to complete backward integration. I became very motivated towards being a consultant and I developed strong relationship with clients and colleagues as my advice and analysis helped them achieve their goals.

During the China stock market crash, I collaborated with colleagues across the investment management department to evaluate the performance of publicly listed companies and brainstorm investment strategies to help our clients. Consequently, I successfully assisted 6 clients to recover, on average, 40% of their funds. In short, my fruitful professional experience further underlined my passion for the business world and boosted my confidence.
