Re: Summer 2016 Brand Content and Communications Internship
Dear Talent Acquisition Manager,
I’ve come across the Brand Content and Communications Intern opening with Brooks
Brothers—a position for which I’d like to be considered in summer 2016. I am a rising
junior at [school] dual majoring in Communications+Graphic
Design and Product Design, with a
minor in Human-Computer Interaction. It’s been my dream to work in brand development
at a major apparel company and I believe that I would excel at putting my talents to
work for you.
My passion for design has led me to reinforce my design education with courses at [school] which include six Product Design studios, Graphic Design for Corporate Identity, Typography, and Visual Communications among many others. I am also a portrait photographer and have worked with the entire Adobe Creative Cloud Suite from Photoshop to Illustrator and InDesign, to edit my work and create final deliverables.
Much of my work has been freelance, which has recently included the magazine [magazine name], brand identity design for the New York State [organization], and the [financial institution] home-buying guide booklet. I am looking for a position with a reputable company and I believe that Brooks Brothers can provide exactly what I am looking for. With the breadth of knowledge and experience I have from my personal freelance work, and the formal education I am receiving, I believe that I would be able to serve you effectively in designing your communications effectively.
I know that I could supply my talent and expertise to you in a way in which no other intern could through the combination of my academic standing (GPA of 3.79) and my professional work experience. I’d like to invite you to view my digital portfolio at [portfolio url]. I thank you for your consideration and look forward to starting a discussion regarding a summer 2016 internship position.
Regards,
