I am writing to apply for the opportunity of spending 8 weeks in CGG’s UK Processing Division, through CGG Summer Placement. I attended your company presentation at ........, where I am currently taking a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, and I strongly believe that my experience, education and passion will make me a very competitive candidate for this position.

I am experienced in data processing and analysis, gained through ...... and I have advanced analytical and problem solving skills acquired in my academic life. I consider myself a fast learner, with good creative skills and a keen-edged ability for problem solving. I am also particularly good in working under stress.

I have worked with different kinds of teams in sports competitions and summer camps and I am, as well, experienced at team working with multicultural groups. I easily adapt to multicultural environments, new ideas and situations, which I believe would be a beneficial skill set for this position.

Additionally, I love to learn new things and I am particularly interested in developing my understanding of the complex processing stages involved in the turning of raw recordings into detailed images of the subsurface. Also, I am very enthusiastic about the idea of experiencing the culture of CGG.
