Process Analyst
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the role of Process Management Sr. Analyst (Clarity) as advertised on the corporate website. I have recently graduated with an MBA (Strategy) from Schulich School of Business and have prior experience of 7 years in process transformation and statistical analysis spanning diverse domains that include IT, Telecom, and Horticulture. This role interests me as I believe it fits in well with my academic training and industry experiences.
Prior to Schulich, I worked as a technology professional, primarily responsible for resolving strategic issues related to technology improvement for global telecom giants. One such issue concerned the low uptake of data products. I collaborated with diverse functional teams to drill down to the core of the issue and developed a business case for data provisioning over Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD). It was an innovative solution at that time because in India the smartphone penetration was very low and the internet connectivity was limited only to cities. The process I designed provided an inexpensive and faster medium of messaging to more than 85 million subscribers and relieved the users from the need of internet connectivity. Apart from solid research and problem-solving skills, my strong communication and interpersonal skills helped me to successfully coordinate with multiple stakeholders to define opportunities, develop process designs, resolve conflicts, and provide technical estimates.
During my MBA, I focused on developing my strategic analysis skills which would help me to make thorough recommendations. Furthermore, I have fine reporting and presentation skills and the ability to work well in both team and self-directed environments. I believe that these skills coupled with my passion for solving complex business problems can be better utilized in CIBC.
