Dear CRH team,

My name is XX and I am a student of X nationality. Currently completing my Masters`in Social and Organisational Psychology at X University in X. The Masters` is focused on understanding and improving work for employees and the organisation itself, since it aims to make personnel and organizations more effective and productive. It is essential to take care of personnel and strategically plan mergers and acquisition and other organisational changes, in order for the company to succeed in the future. I would like to make good use of my gained Psychological and analytical skills and improve them, preferably in the field of consultancy. I personally believe that my experiences (work and volunteering) and specifically my education make me a strong candidate for this particular in Strategy Consulting and Merger & Acquisition internship at CRH, which is currently present on the Integrand website.

I am very passionate about interning at CRH, since I believe that the global leader in building material industry has gotten its place due to strategic approaches. This would give me the opportunity to further my knowledge and skills in this particular sector.

The Strategy Consulting and Merger & Acquisition Internship caught my attention, mainly because during my Masters I covered lot of theory about Mergers & Acquisition and how to strategically tackle problems that arise in a company. I found this topic immensely interesting and would spent hours on voluntarily doing research in this area. Having the opportunity to successfully apply theory into practice and seeing the first results and outcomes would not only give me a feeling of fulfillment, but would also confirm my advanced abilities in research and analytical and strategic thinking.

My studies in my bachelor’s degree as well as my current master’s degree have enabled me to have strong knowledge in use of various computer programs such as MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint presentations, Excel data input and graphs, word documents) and IBM SPSS for data analysis. Additionally, I have acquired strong analytical and research skills, especially during big projects such as my thesis, which mainly required confident and independent work and project management skills.

Furthermore, I am a very organized and punctual person on whom you may not only rely to fulfill tasks with great attention to details but to always look at them critically as well. Moreover, I am creative, enjoy taking initiatives and am a hard worker. I am therefore confident that I can be a successful intern at CRH.

As I have read your internship program description, I know that these skills are appreciated by your organisation, hence I believe that you will perceive them as a valuable asset to your team. I believe that combination of my skills, experience, and knowledge suits your expectation regarding profile of intern for the advertised position.
