Sample cover letter for Internship position at CUNA Mutual Group

POSITION:

Finance Internship

October 9, 2015

Mrs. Heidi Duss

Talent Acquisition Specialist

CUNA Mutual Group

5910 Mineral Point Road

Madison, WI 53705

Dear Mrs. Duss:

I am writing to express my interest in the Accounting/Finance Internship position listed recently in the Marquette University Career Service Center. After reviewing your website, I became very excited about the career opportunities and dynamic work environment at CUNA Mutual Group. I was particularly impressed with the opportunities the firm gives its employees to participate in development orientations and help credit unions step confidently toward the future.

I am currently a sophomore at Marquette University working on my bachelor of business degree in Finance and Business Economics. Some strengths of mine include leadership abilities, and teamwork skills. I have experience working in a small company in Peru operating the cash register, recording daily transactions, supervising, guiding the work of others, and optimizing customer service. I also volunteered informing the community, in the Peruvian rainforest area, of the importance of getting identification and a birth certification. Enhancing the citizens to have access to health, education, and other programs offered by the Peruvian government. Those experiences help me to enhance my verbal and communication skills. I believe that my work ethic, combined with my educational background in finance and economics, make me an ideal candidate for this internship position.

Enclosed please find a current copy of my résumé for your review. I would appreciate an opportunity to meet with you to discuss my candidacy in further detail. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Yours Sincerely,

Katherine Alvarado
