Sample cover letter for Internship position at California Science Center (2013)

POSITION:

Sales

Attn: Human Resources Department,

I am a full-time college sophomore writing to express my interest in the Sales intern position as listed on the California Science Center Foundation website.

I have experience in providing good interpersonal communication with both children and adults, primary and secondary research, as applied to professional and academic environments, team work, fundraising, and strong proficiency in math at the college level.

My personal experience in a professional film-loader’s program has also enabled me to develop an ability to stand for long periods of time without losing attentiveness, to complete specific tasks in an apt manner, and to be detail-oriented. I can work in and adapt to environments that demand both physical and mental performance with care.

I believe that I would be an asset to the California Science Center community. The position would provide me with an opportunity to gain better experience in the sales field, to work in a very unique environment, and to continue to shape the skills I have developed.

My schedule is flexible, especially in the coming summer months, and will enable me to work at your convenience. I hope to schedule an interview at a mutually convenient time and look forward to speaking with you.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
