Having reviewed the Analytics Practicum position, I respectfully submit my resume for consideration. Beyond providing me with an opportunity to incorporate my genuine interest in analytics and strategic consulting, I feel that this internship experience would allow me to gain practical experience within the business world as well as enabling me to further developing my organization and strategic planning skills.

I am currently a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign I am pursuing a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Economics with minors in Statistics and Business. I believe that my proficient communication skills and my ability to foster teamwork will prove useful in the fast pace environment at Caterpillar. With my educational background, I have an understanding of analytical components that allow me to deliver data based insights that provide strategic planning to improve business efficiency.

Additionally, I have gained strategic planning skills within the retail industry in my work as the ABC Intern with XYZ. I have learned how to effectively analyze retail traffic data, create conversion and success identifiers, and consult over 40 clients on strategic solutions in order to maximize their profits. I have also had the pleasure of working with the ABC as the XYZ. Through this experience, I have learned how to effectively develop product sale comparisons on excel, present speculations on the data, and construct a new orientation program for part-time workers as well as a store layout in order to prevent theft. I also analyzed promotional website traffic through my work as a Consumer Market Research Analyst with the XYZ. I learned how to effectively collected consumer behavior data through the use of A/B testing software and provided insight on different client segments and various value propositions.
