POSITION:

Real Estate Intern

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to inquire about the New Development Market Research internship opportunity at Compass for the summer of 2015. I am a sophomore at _______ majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics.

Compass is of interest to me because of its commitment to modernizing and simplifying the consumer’s pursuit for real estate through new technological strategies. I am personally interested in the real estate business, specifically the expansion of real estate organizations. This directly applies to the internship position of studying real estate trends and predicting the market for new real estate developments.

As an engineering student, I bring a unique perspective to the real estate industry. My classes specific to Mechanical Engineering are designed to teach students a systematic process on how to approach and solve analytical problems that relate to real-world situations.

In addition, I have experience in a real estate business setting from working as a property management intern for a New York based real estate firm named _______. During my internship, I worked with a skilled property management team that focused on organizing and overseeing various renovation and construction projects throughout New York City and New Jersey. Many projects involved up and coming businesses that were seeking to expand office and retail space. I was enthused to work with commercial tenants in order to completely transform and improve their workplace. The analytical, organizational and problem solving skills I have developed through my internship experience and education make me a strong candidate for the New Development Market Research internship opportunity at Compass.
