Sample cover letter for Internship position at Cox Media Group

POSITION:

Internship

After researching the Internship Program within Cox Media Group Long Island on your website, as well as being a loyal listener of both WBLI and WBAB, I am extremely interested in applying for a Summer internship position. I am currently a sophomore at Pace University majoring in Arts and Entertainment Management. I know that my work background and experience in directing, teaching, and acting, as well as passion for Music and the Entertainment Industry makes me an excellence candidate for this position.

Within the next few months from February to June 1st, I will be Interning at Walt Disney World, as a Cast Member learning the aspects of Merchandise within Disney and educating myself on Disney’s production and entertainment enterprise.Regarding my past knowledge and leadership abilities within the Entertainment Industry, by directing, being show choir captain, and a dance student teacher, I have gained an immense understanding of the work that goes into a production. Through these enterprises, I used my interpersonal skills and learned how to work with lighting, sound, backstage management, and actors, to skillfully coordinate a seamless performance. However, I am much more interested in Music within the Entertainment industry and am eager to use my skills in production and team management within radio.

Just as the Cox Media Group has influenced my passion for music by providing me tickets to my very first concert when I was 11, my outgoing personality, strong communication skills, motivation to learn about the radio, and diverse experience, lend me the ability to succeed as an intern.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
