Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Credit Suisse
Graduate role
Please consider my application for a position on the EMEA Asset Management analyst programme as advertised on your careers website. My recent conversation with my University’s employability officer has reinforced my ambition to join the programme and organisation. I am keen to be part of a team that values teamwork, entrepreneurism and innovation.
The graduate programme will provide me with the opportunity to further develop my current skills and knowledge to be able to support Credit Suisse’s current asset management strategy where I hope to work within the business after completion of the programme. This is the ideal programme for me because it will provide me with formal, on-the-job training and mentoring which will help create a firm foundation for my career in asset management.
In both my working and academic life, I have demonstrated other abilities relevant to a career in asset management, such as leadership, adaptability and interpersonal skills. Throughout my Finance, Accounting and Management degree at the University of Nottingham (for which I have a current average of a 2.1 and am on track to achieve a 2.1), I have been a member of Karnival, the UK’s biggest student run charity as one of the campus leaders, acquiring students to sign up for fund-raising trips and personally volunteered at The Queen’s Medical Centre children’s ward weekly. My teammates and I were able to raise over 1 million pounds in 2015-16.
Credit Suisse is the ideal organisation for me to begin and forge my career at, due to its multinational scale and diverse workforce. These reasons make Credit Suisse ideal for me as travelling is a keen interest of mine as recently I have just completed a semester abroad studying in Malaysia and travelling around South East Asia. As a very diverse multinational, I believe Credit Suisse will provide me the opportunity to work within diverse teams and opportunities to work overseas. The experience of studying abroad will help me to be successful in this role as it has enhanced my ability to interact effectively with different cultures and personalities.
I am eager to discuss this opportunity with you in person and am available for interview at your convenience. I look forward to your response.
