I am currently pursuing my Master XX at the XXX. After graduating I intend to start my career as an Analyst at an international investment bank.
During my internship at XXX, a spin-off XXX, I came into contact with M&A for the first time. I independently investigated the M&A landscape in the pharmaceutical industry over the past 15 years. Consequentially, I have learned a lot about strategic issues and drivers of mergers and acquisitions. Moreover, my final report was published in an industry journal and at the yearly XXX XXX. Based on my positive experiences with M&A, I applied for an internship at XXXX. There I have especially improved my technical skills by supporting Analysts with company valuations. I have also worked on a sell-side pitch presentation, which has been successful. In order to get a better understanding also for smaller companies I did an internship at XXX. There I mainly analyzed and evaluated startups. Investigating a company into such detail sharpened my eye to see which characteristics really matter and how they can be played out efficiently.
Through my studies and my internships I learned to approach complex problems, work under pressure and organize myself very well. Additionally, My extracurricular activities and my exchange Semester at XXX in XX taught me to use my skills also as part of an international team and speak to different people on their own terms.
