Dear Sir/Madam,

While interning for an independent asset management company, I came to learn about Credit Suisse – who were our brokers. Through your website, I learned about the Spring Insight Program and am extremely interested in securing a position as an Analyst in IBD, Equities and Fixed Income.

I am currently in my first year at Bath University studying for a BSc (Hons) in Economics. I will concentrate in econometrics, economics of banking, investment and trading, corporate finance, and experimental, behavioural and neuro economics. Over the last three summers, I interned for the asset management company, ***, where I undertook research to assist in the development of an algorithmic investment model which exploits human predictability and independently studied for and achieved the CFA Institute Claritas Investment Certificate. These experiences have expanded my knowledge of the investment industry and have furthered my interest in pursuing a career in investment banking. I believe that your Spring Insight Program will provide me with the investment banking introduction required to make a successful application for your Summer Internship Program.

My main interest in joining Credit Suisse stems from commendation given by the senior management at my internship. They cited your profitability coupled with stability, global reputation, international presence and strength of balance sheet as advantages over other institutions.
